This book is a testament to our commitment to raising cybercrime awareness among individuals globally and in
India. Every day, countless individuals find themselves entangled in the web of these modern threats. The
propagation of digital media over the past decade has not yet been met with an equally vigorous increase in
awareness and education about cybercrime prevention. For many, the news media serves as the sole source of
information on cyber safety, leaving a major gap in understanding and preparation.
The C3i Centre and C3i Hub at IIT Kanpur are engaged in extensive and pioneering research on cyber security.
However, the findings of this research often remain confined to academic circles, inaccessible to the
general community who need this knowledge the most. To bridge this gap, the author, along with the C3i
Centre and C3i Hub at IIT Kanpur recognized the need for a different approach that captures the interest of
